Our Business Developers are responsible for selling our diversity, equity and inclusion Solutions directly into medium to large businesses, working primarily with CEO and DEI Officers. Daily activities will include prospecting, consultation, collaboration, negotiation, follow-up and closing enterprise-wide deals. To have what it takes, you’ll need positive energy, enthusiasm, and motivation to deliver to the highest standards. You’ll need to be a self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit. You will need to immerse yourself in the diversity, equity, inclusion and leadership world and have a comprehensive understanding of our offerings, as well as the overall competitive landscape. This role is remote and will report directly to the CEO.

 

Key Responsibilities & Duties

DEI Consulting / Facilitation

  • DEI assessments of the clients’ companies (cultural assessment, employees’ engagement, etc.) to understand their current state and take it from there/ strategy and implementation. Use quantitative and qualitative data to help identify and support mechanisms to remove barriers and improve equity and inclusion.
  • Build, manage, promote diversity, equity and inclusion services.
  • Deliver workshops, Focus Groups, Coaching sessions, etc.

Business Development and Client-facing Services

  • Work with the Sales and Business Development team to conduct Client meetings that lead to securing Client business for DEI services and projects.
  • Participate in the development of DEI & You Consulting and bring new ideas to innovate. You will be part of the strategy, the processes, creation of new offerts, etc.
  • Generate and review proposals and contracts for Clients.
  • Identify and Hire Project Managers, Data Analysts, DEI Consultants, Facilitators and Notetakers and work with them for all client needs and deliverables + makes sure that we all remain connected together as a team.

Content writing / Program designing / Content Strategy for Events and Social Media

  • Develop and strategize DEI content plans for quarterly online events, quarterly workshops, bi-weekly social media, and monthly blog posts or articles.
  • Review content for all social media, marketing of events, and external communications in collaboration with the Head of Communications.
  • Implement all programs delivered online or in person; work closely with marketing and sales teams for end-to-end delivery and assessment of events and workshops.

Virtual Events

  • Design and facilitate online workshops around DEI topics every 2 months for DEI & You Consulting.
  • Organize and moderate virtual events around DEI topics quarterly

Recruiting, training and terminations related actions/ onboarding news consultants. As DEI Project Lead, you will be in charge with the collaboration of the CEO of the recruiting, the training and the onboarding of the new DEI consultants / Facilitators, and internal hires.

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar position 
  • Relevant advanced degree (e.g., Graduate, Doctorate or equivalent) preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in facilitation, teaching, and coaching in diversity equity and inclusion related topics
  • Knowledge of diversity, equity and inclusion workforce, workplace, and marketplace enablers
  • Has an in-depth understanding of clients/industries supported and apply business offerings at the senior level
  • Over five years of experience in program management

  • Diversity, Inclusion, Equity and Belonging Champion and Advocate who uses behaviors/program development/design theories, principals, frameworks, models, tools and techniques
  • Recognized as a go-to person in a defined ‘major’ discipline and can scope, design, and deliver non-standard solutions to meet client needs
  • Have the ability to manage projects and function autonomously to meet the needs of a diverse client base
  • Effective in teams and grounded in change management theories, principals, frameworks, models, tools and practices
  • Curious and committed to learning
  • Comfortable working with people at all levels of an organization, from C-suite to interns

 

Languages

  • English fluency in written and verbal communication is a must
  • Proficiency in French is desirable
